Damien felt that her powers were unique, and he could use them to his advantage, especially because of the problems he was facing with his own powers.
"But how?" Nathasia was confused about how he was going to help train her powers.
"Stand up and come here," Damien ordered as he pointed beside him.
Nathasia meekly looked at him as she walked up to him and looked at him anxiously.
"Now see this floor we are standing on. I want you to make a spike out of this floor. A spike large enough to skewer a human being."
Nathasia's eyes became wide as she couldn't believe what he just told her to do, "A spike that large? That's impossible. Besides, I have never done anything like that, nor do I think my powers will work on something so large."
"I was not asking. You will keep trying till you succeed. If you won't, you should tell me now," Damien said in a dark tone.
Nathasia gulped and said, "Okay...I will do it."
He said after a brief moment of silence, "Your powers are limited only by yourself. If you believe in your powers, they will believe in you as well."
Damien didn't say anything more and went to the back of the warehouse, where it was a sandy area for as far as he could see.
He saw a small tree near him and then took out his sword before making a swing in the air in the direction of the tree.
But other than the sound of the sword cutting through the air, nothing else happened.
His expression twisted in anger and frustration, but he continued to swing his sword as if practicing his moves.
Meanwhile, Nathasia had no idea what she was trying to do here. She had her hand placed on the ground to make a spike out of it, just like Damien said.
But no matter how much she focused, nothing happened other than getting mentally exhausted. She felt that this was futile and maybe that she should train by taking baby steps and then take the large steps.
However, she knew there was no room to refuse Damien here, and even after a whole hour, her hand was still on the ground but without any results.
Feeling that she was almost drained, she decided to take a break and check out one of the locked rooms in the meanwhile.
There were two other rooms in the warehouse, but she never bothered or was too distracted to check out the locked one.
The door seemed to have been locked with a key, so she put up her hand against the door as she focused on the door's locking mechanism.
A smile crept up her lips when she heard a small clicking sound, and the door opened.
The lights were not working, but her eyes sparkled when she spotted a plethora of guns nicely stacked on the walls. There were even C4's and other kinds of explosives.
"What kind of people stayed here?" Nathasia mumbled. But then, remembering that this place was a warzone before, she felt that this shouldn't be a surprise.
Damien came back inside with a tired expression and a stooped posture and felt that he had been getting tired faster than before.
However, he frowned upon not seeing Nathasia and then saw that the locked door was open.
He immediately walked to that room and was about to shout at her when he suddenly saw what was inside.
"Hey! We have a good amount of pistols and rifles here. Surely, this could help, right?" Nathasia asked excitedly.
"We are going now," Damien said as his eyes wandered around the room, taking a good look at the inventory.
"Going where?" Nathasia asked in confusion.
"To kill Merlin Tan. I guess you know how to use a gun, right?" Damien asked with an intense stare.
Nathasia couldn't understand what was going on in his head and wondered if opening this door was a bad idea.
She knew Damien had given her the mission to kill Merlin to prove herself, but when he said that she had to do it today, Nathasia felt very anxious and apprehensive about it.
She also didn't know why he wanted to kill Merlin so badly and what this guy did to Damien to get targeted personally by Damien.
"I didn't hear a 'yes'." Damien said in a severe tone.
"Yes….I know how to use a gun. But where is he staying, and how are we going to get there?"
"You will just follow my lead." Damien then proceeded to take a silenced pistol and a rifle. He felt that it was good to have these guns because of his condition.
Nathasia took a pistol, and as she looked at it, she felt a strange unease about everything.
Even if Damien knew where Merlin Tan was, how was he going to break in? She felt that someone as influential as Merlin would be having any bodyguards around him.
But Damien didn't seem to be least bothered about those things even though she knew that he also knew about these factors.
Damien made Nathasia practice with the sniper rifle for a while to make sure she knows to at least fire it.
The two soon went out with scarves to cover their faces while Damien was carrying a large bag behind his back.
After walking for more than thirty minutes, the two saw a road for the first time and saw a car coming in from afar.
There were only abandoned small buildings in the vicinity with no other soul present.
"Go and stand in front of the car. Make it stop. Show your face as well. And after he stops, make him get out of the car." Damien said as he looked at the car.
Nathasia parted her lips to say something, but then she didn't and quietly walked towards the road to try and make the driver stop.
A man in his thirties was whistling as he was driving his car, but suddenly he spotted a girl standing in the distance, waving her hands about.
When he got closer, his brows raised, seeing that it was a girl with quite an appealing beauty.
He slowed down his car and stopped before her as he looked out the window and asked with a smile, "Hey, girl. Are you lost? Wanna ride with me?"
Nathasia smiled, "Sure." She then put down the heavy bag on her shoulder and asked, "But can you help me put this in the back of your car."
The man eagerly said with a smile, "Of course!"
He got out of the car and walked towards Nathasia with a beaming smile.

The sound of a silenced gun being fired resounded, and the man suddenly fell down with his brains splattered on the floor.
"Ah!" Nathasia was shocked and stumbled back with her hands over her mouth.
With wide eyes, she turned to the side to see Damien walking towards the car with a silenced gun in his hand.
She didn't expect that Damien would kill him just to take his car, but at the same time, she didn't feel it surprising.
She wanted to ask him why he killed him when they could have just incapacitated the man and stolen his car or something similar.
But then she knew better than to ask such questions and got inside the car with Damien as they drove towards Merlin's location.

There were only abandoned small buildings in the vicinity with no other soul present.
"Go and stand in front of the car. Make it stop. Show your face as well. And after he stops, make him get out of the car." Damien said as he looked at the car.
