"No, I don't get it!"

I was checking my own information on a scroll of transcripts.

In the days since my contract with Sailuke, I have been trying to find out more about the primordial magic of that time, but I have made no progress.

"I'm sure that the contract has reduced something in me, you know..." he said. If it was a number, it was reduced by one digit. But I don't see any significant change in my physical information. Hmm."

The scroll of transcription reads the material information of the object and transcribes it onto the scroll.

This is why pendulums are used to detect immaterial objects such as magical elements.

"The thing that overflowed from my wound at that time was not a magical element either. That means there is at least one more existence in this world that is immaterial and different from the magical element.

It is fun, but frustrating, to speculate on completely unknown phenomena.

Sailuke, the source of this frustration, is playing with Hippopo, who seems to have gotten used to it.

The weather was fine, and Sailuke seemed to want to go outside, so I sat down on a chair outside the tent.

Sailuke was playing with Hippopo's tail in the space between the two tents in front of me. Earlier we had been playing a game of fetch.

"Huh, they won't give me that translucent plate no matter how much I ask them, Sailuke. Is that only for contracts? Or is there some other factor ......?"

"Master Rust," and then Ary's voice.

"Ah, Ary. Is it time already?"

I start cleaning up in a hurry. I was going to ask Ary to show me the way and help with road maintenance. However, I am fully prepared.

I put on my backpack and mount Hippopo. Ary gets in the back.

"Seyruk, I'm going out for a while. Wait for me at Rose's."

As I am about to leave, Sailuke flaps his wings and floats up, and jumps onto my shoulder. Its body is very light, perhaps because it flies in the sky.

Sailuke lightly pokes me on the head with his kiss.

"Are you going to follow me?"

"Cuuuuuuh."

I had no choice but to start running the hippopotamus.

I had no choice but to start running Hippopo.

Hippopotamus running in the wilderness. The wind on my cheeks feels good.

Sailuke was flying alongside. The sunlight seemed to shine off their pure white bodies.

It's beautiful," Ary says to me as he sits behind Hippopo and watches Sailuke fly by.

"Yes, it really is. I had no idea that dragons were such graceful creatures.

"For the first time in hundreds of years, I have made a covenant with that dragon. Master Lusto is a master. You have a wide range of knowledge not only in alchemy. We had no idea what he was doing while we were watching.

The note of admiration in Ary's voice. But I feel a little awkward. I'm the one who has no idea what's going on.

"Oh, no. It's not that big of a deal. It's just a coincidence."

I reply, slurring my words. I have only told them about the translucent plates in a cursory fashion.

It was completely unknown, visible only to my own eyes. There is nothing I can do if I can't at least repeat it.

It is just something so vague that I can't even argue that I was dreaming.

"Cu~cu~"

Sailuke didn't seem to care about us and just flew in the sky looking comfortable.

Well, it was nice to see Sailuke enjoying himself.

As I was thinking that while looking up, Ary's attention was caught.

"Master Rust, there's a monster coming!"

When I turned around, I saw a glimmer of magical elements in his magical eye through Ary's single pair of glasses.
