This baffled voice belonged to none other than Takei himself.
For some reason, Akari was standing in the doorframe of his room in her pajamas with a very needy expression.
She was also hugging a pillow to her chest with eyes that seemed to blame Takei for her being here.
"What's up?" Takei cautiously asked.
"I can't sleep..." Akari mumbled.
The volume of her voice was way too low for Takei to hear, so he was confused as to what she said. "Can you say that a little louder?"
"I said I can't sleep!" Akari said, in a louder volume.
"Oh? What would you like me to do about that?" Takei teasingly asked, with a mischievous smile on his face.
Akari knew that Takei was just teasing her, which resulted in an aura of dissatisfaction and an adorable pouting face.
"I want you to take responsibility..." Akari said.

When she said that with tears in her eyes from being teased, Takei had to mentally take a step back to not lose his composure.
I always forget that Akari can get really cute and attack my heart when she needs to... Proper countermeasures need to be made soon.
Takei shook his head to dispel the random thoughts in his head. "Would you like to sleep with me tonight then?"
As if that was what she was waiting for, Akari happily nodded and walked over to the empty side of his bed. "Yes, please!"
She put her pillow down and then laid down next to Takei.
Takei shifted his body just a tiny bit in order for Akari to be able to fit under the blanket as well.
While he draped the blanket over her, Akari took this moment to snuggle up even closer to him.
There was less than a knuckles' worth of distance between them, which was rapidly decreasing the more Akari went on the prowl.
Once the blanket was fully wrapped around both of them, Takei turned towards Akari with a questioning gaze. "You know that being this cute and adorable isn't good for my heart, right?"
"Right back at you!" Akari said, with an accusatory gaze. "You being this handsome and gentlemanly isn't good for my heart either! What if you attract other girls?!"
"Like that could happen," Takei laughed.
Hearing Takei underestimate himself once again, Akari poked and played with his cheeks.
"That can happen, without a doubt! Mou... You need to stop undervaluing yourself so much," Akari scolded. "I want you to be more aware of how good of a person you are."
"Showwy," Takei tried to speak. "I'll try bettur... ... nex... ine..."
There was no conceivable way for Takei to communicate while Akari was playing with his cheeks, so it resulted in weird-sounding words that were questionable if they were in the English language or not.
"Please do better next time. It hurts me to see you put yourself down so much," Akari pleaded. "I just want you to be more at peace with yourself."
Even though Takei had mainly conquered his past trauma, the lingering emotions of worthlessness were still implanted deep in his heart.
He had been working to get it to a point where it didn't bother him anymore, but that was still a long ways to go.

Those plump red lips were what ended up setting Takei off on the route to domination.
When he interlocked lips with her, a wave of sweetness overtook his taste buds as he continued to keep on exchanging saliva with her.

Both parties were desperately searching for air while their show of love continued.
