Chapter 219: The Most Annoying Target!

The apex Demon Beasts of the Seashell island seems to be fighting again. And every time they fight, a huge Demon Beast Horde starts and makes their headway towards the human settlement. This is the first time, that the sound of those beasts came this far.
Alex's eyes gleamed with light.

A painful roar sounded, echoing through the forest. Alex knew it was from that four-armed silverback gorilla. For it to make such a painful sound it had to be hurt very seriously.
Before the crowd could become chaotic and make a stampede in order to get inside the city walls disorderly, Alex shouted "Everyone, please stay where you are and let the soldiers escort you back inside the city.
Don't worry, I have placed two thousand soldiers at the border of the swamp marsh forest so that the demon beast does get attracted here due to the lights and human gathering in the open. There is still some time left, please listen to the guards and stay calm, I will go and see what's happening"
Alex immediately made a huge jump in the direction of the forest and just after landing on the ground, Alex ran at full speed hoping that the mysterious women would either follow him or hold her attack and wait for him to come back and find another chance to kill him.
That other expert had not moved, therefore, wasn't sure if he had come for him or not.
Maybe he was just an eccentric traveler who roamed the world in a low key manner, but that was just his wishful thinking.
If he was their only goal and not his family members then they would not risk killing them, fearing that he would flee.
As for making him come to them by kidnapping one his family members is also a possibility but usually, experts won't do that until its only way.
Assassins like Alex always wants to stay in the dark as much as possible. The action kidnapping would tell the target about their presence which counterproductive.
Alex was betting on his understanding of assassins and experts of this world. He hoped that those two enemies would wait till he comes back or follows him to the forest so that Alex can use various methods to take them out.
The puppets are already circling Anna, Jack and the other to protect them as if they were going to get attacked by the demon beast not the others.
It looked normal in the eyes of the common people since the soldier's priority to protect has always been the Lord or his family but Master Clayton, Meg, Julie, and the other family members found it very abnormal.
A soldier then whispered into their ears about the presence of the two unknown powerful entities and Alex's orders are to follow them back to the manner and immediately confine themselves in the basement.
No one knew when Alex had given these orders to the soldiers but they chose to believe them since it has happened before and even though it was shameful, they were the first to be escorted out first rather than the citizens.
Nora had stopped moving forward when the beast roar had first sounded. Alex used that time to dish out some words for the citizens and ran away in the direction of the forest. Nora hesitated to follow.
She unconsciously looked around to find her senior brother for instructions but stopped immediately because the guards near his started to move the people in the direction of the City.
Anyway, she won't get any help from his senior brother until she fails the task. Because Nora's existence has not been found, the kill task is still valid and had not failed.
Trystan looked at the distance where Alex had run to and could only sigh at the luck of the target. Such kinds of people are very difficult to kill and they are considered the most annoying target by every assassin in this world.
Trystan and Nora were forced to get inside the city with the others. No one could stay outside, no matter who they were.

Without them, Alex didn't know what he would do to get out of that situation. using all his strength to fight those two would result in a great number of casualties of his puppets and the common citizens which he did not want to see. The danger was still there but now he knows about it.
"That girl has a very weird ability. The puppets won't be able to find her even she stands in front of them. The only way to counter her is to use my Spiritual sense. I can't say anything about her cultivation level due to her weird ability. As for that other expert, I believe he is a trained assassin and should have cultivation above the Peak stage of Dantian Formation Realm." Alex thought.
The only guess that Alex could make about Nora's ability to become invisible to the naked eye should be due to her bloodline or she has contracted with a Spirit beast who has such kind of an ability.
