Emily had never heard such a preposterous speech in her entire life. She conclusively refuted, "If I ever help, it will be out of my own will and not because I owe you and your husband anything. Besides, kindness should not be wasted on people like you."

All of a sudden, Emily's voice went cold. "I don't have the right to let go of him. He committed a crime and he needs to bear the legal responsibilities. As for you, I don't really care whether you live or die."

"I hate you..." Delores screamed. Lying on the ground, writhing in pain, Delores spit out a mouthful of blood and glared at Emily hatefully, the resentment in her eyes still clearly visible.
The commotion drew the attention of the medical staff who came in and found Delores on the floor, but did not dare to help her, afraid of angering Jacob.
'Delores tried to kill Jacob's girlfriend! Anyone trying to help Delores now would surely earn Jacob's displeasure. I'm not stupid enough to go up against Jacob, ' all the medical staff standing there murmured in their minds.

"How many times do I have to tell you to stop putting yourself in danger? Don't ever do something silly like that again. This matter is not up for discussion. I am warning you, do you understand?" said Jacob.
Emily gasped, "I have the right to do as I please. Your orders have no power over me."
"If you dare to hurt yourself again, I promise you that your punishment will be delivered in bed. Keep that in mind," he said, with a cheeky smile on his face.
" You..." Emily was at a loss for words. Frustrated, she felt so embarrassed that she pulled away from his arms and said, "Behave yourself. We should not act like this in public. Do you understand?"
