Is the highlight of the banquet on the last day? (3) – unedited

The place that I entered ater exiting the warehouse was a completely different place, as if I was in another world.

There were just as many dazzling things under the lights from the colorful chandeliers. The seafood and delicacies are plentiful, and the magnificent orchestra plays music constantly from the second floor. Even the thick curtains on the terrace were beautifully pleated, giving the impression of being painstakingly arranged.

“Wow, it’s no joke?”

Fortunately, there were a lot of attendants in the same outfit, so I didn’t stand out too much just because I stepped into the hall.

Chenin, Chenin, Chenin.

As Evan taught, I moved my feet cautiously and rolled my eyes to find Chenin. However, the colorful dresses and accessories made it difficult to properly identify the face.

Laughter mixed with soft music and chatter. In the meantime, I think I became a spy by myself.

“The Great Saint Serdebella Renee is entering.”

With the sound of drums, when the attendant who had a good vocal shouted about the arrival of the Saint, all eyes poured onto the entrance of the hall.

So did I. When Saint Serdebella walked in alone without a handmaid, the atmosphere was overwhelmed just by her appearance.

Although she was wearing only a simple white outfit she usually wore during mass, the most beautiful among them was, of course, Serdebella. The dresses in the hall, which were overly glamorous like the feathers of a courting peacock, looked ugly.

“I thought you would come, Saint.”

“Of course, Count Abitz.”

A man who had been mingling with people greeted the Saint by moving his chubby butt.

Oh, that’s Count Abitz.

The people in the hall slowly took notice, and immediately both men and women flocked to the Saint’s vicinity. The Saint greeted people very skillfully with a graceful appearance.

“Is it the banquet of Count Abitz or the banquet of the Saint…….”

All attention was focused on the Saint.

After staring at this scene for a while as if it was an interesting TV show, I came to my senses and started looking for Chenin again. Thanks to the Saint, I was able to take a closer look inside the hall, taking advantage of the chaos.

“Where are you?”

“Erina!”

A pleasant voice was heard. On a terrace in the hall, Merson saw me and ran to me. And on the terrace where Merson was, a Lady ran out of the hall with a crying face.

“What?”

“I missed you.”

Without time to stop him, he wrapped around my waist and kissed me.

Waah! This crazy!

I lifted my foot and stomped on Merson’s feet, and then pulled him off me. No, no one has seen it, right?

Fortunately, everyone’s eyes were on the Saint, and no one seemed to have seen it. Except for one person.

Her eyes were fixed on me.

Did, did she see it? I think she did. What to do?!

The Saint’s eyes met mine. In my mind, I pretended to be staring far away and naturally turned my head away from her, but I looked at her for too long while I was thinking about it. She would have thought that I had ignored her if I were to turn my eyes now.

I smiled awkwardly and greeted her with a light bow. A bright smile like the sun followed as a greeting.

“… did she not see it?”

To say that, the Saint’s expression was somehow dangerous. It made it impossible to let go of my tension, as if there was a beast in front of me, aiming at me while hiding its sharp tooth. Sweat drips down my uncomfortable mind.

All I did was a brief greeting, but the Saint’s gaze was focused on me and Merson that it was burdensome. In the end, it was me who moved first.

“Merson, I must go back now.”

“Already?”

I lightly avoided Merson, who was holding my hand in regret, and approached him and whispered.

“I came to see if Chenin was here, but when I looked around, I didn’t see her. You look for her too. Understand?”

Before Merson could answer, I turned my back and walked out. Oops. I remembered one more thing to say, so I stepped back and approached Merson again.

“And… When you meet the Saint, you have to be as quiet as possible. Understand? If she has a request, do it.”

“…….”

“Then see you later.”

The Saint is unaware that Merson has lost his memory, and I intend to prevent any unnecessary happenings as much as possible. As us, who had to quietly find and take Chenin, we needed to be careful not to get caught up in an incident. Especially within County Abitz.

The back of my head throbbed all the way out the hall. Is it Merson’s gaze, the Saint’s gaze, or both? I had to press down my desire to look back.

I can go back to the warehouse, and I can see nobles everywhere in the mansion. I was getting out of the banquet hall and people were enjoying the banquet in various places in the mansion.

Damn, I’m going to have to go through all parts of this mansion.

Wouldn’t it be great if they were all confined to one banquet hall? Why did they open the whole mansion for no reason?

Alas, even the owner, Count Abitz, leaves the hall. No matter where he left the Saint, he was walking so hastily, as if a package had arrived, and a widespread smile appeared on his face.

Curiously, I suddenly stopped my foot, which had been walking well, and then made a soft U-turn. Alright, that was natural.

He was running up the stairs two steps at a time, forgetting whether he was going to go up to the second floor or not.

I followed him around without needing to hide. This is because Count Abitz ran forward, looking ahead, without even thinking to make sure that someone was not following him.
