King Ophire nodded to accept the Baron's greeting as he tried not to roll his eyes at him.

"I'm sure that the steward has informed you of the reason why you were summoned to the Palace." The King spoke with his usual poised tone.

Baron MacIntyre nodded his head to indicate that he was well aware of the reason why he had been called over to the Palace.

"For the desserts sold at my cafe." He added to prove that he knew what he was talking about.

'Well, at least he knows about that.' King Ophire was relieved that he would not have to watch the Baron freeze all over again.

Now that they were back on track, the King decided that it was time for them to get to business as he had places to be soon after this meeting.

'I cannot delay the lunch plans I have with Felly.' He was determined to get this over with at the earliest.

"I reckon that the treats have been sent to the kitchen?" He questioned the Baron but his eyes were focused on the Steward.

Receiving the nod from his close aide, he was satisfied that his daughter would not have to wait or be disappointed on account of the delay in the delivery of the treats.

Last evening's delay had caused his precious daughter to be upset until she had seen the same desserts after dinner.

Therefore, he was not looking forward to seeing a repeat of the events that had taken place yesterday.

"The treats have been sent to the kitchen, Your Majesty." The Steward informed his Master of the news he had obtained from the servants who had taken the desserts away.

On his way back from the Throne room after informing the King of the Baron's arrival, Steward had received word from the servants that the treats had passed the security check and had been sent to the kitchen.

He then ordered the servants to head back to their stations before arriving at the Parlor to escort the Baron to the Throne room where the King awaited his arrival.

King Ophire nodded, satisfied with the information he had received.

"The Royal Princess wishes to have your cafe cater the snacks for her birthday celebration that will be here in two weeks." He announced the purpose of this meeting.

The Royal Steward stood to the side at the bottom of the stairs that led to the throne as his work here was done.

He had nothing to say or do any further as the King would be the one managing his own affairs.

Baron MacIntyre glimpsed at the supportive man who was now standing away from him and gulped his saliva.

This meant that he would have no more help from the steward and had to deal with the situation to the best of his abilities.

'He seems to have understood my words so I can move along with this conversation.' King Ophire decided and continued speaking his mind.

"What are your thoughts about this, Baron?" He inquired as he needed to know what the other man's opinions were.

Though he knew that to reject an offer from the King was an act of absurdity, he had to make sure that the Baron was a willing partner in this deal.

'He must be grateful to every god that my Palace is willing to serve his desserts for the celebration!' He scoffed as he was not yet pleased with the fact an outsider would be serving for their celebration.

According to King Ophire, the best chefs in the Kingdom were already working for him in the Palace kitchen so the chances of the Baron's baker being better was too low.

He would never have agreed to this if it weren't for Princess Felicia's adamant demands.

'The troubles a father must take to keep his child happy.' He sighed as he was just the kind of father who would shower his child with all of his love and fulfill her every wish.

While King Ophire was lost in his thoughts of being the benevolent and loving father he was, Baron MacIntyre was trying to contain the squeals of excitement that were about to erupt through his mouth.

'Only a fool would be willing to reject such a wonderful offer.' He declared and then looked up at the King who sat on his Throne.

"It would be a blessing for the MacIntyre family to serve snacks at the Royal Princess' birthday celebration, Your Majesty!" He accepted the offer without any hesitation.

'Of course, it is a blessing!' King Ophire sneered but his smile indicated that he was satisfied with this answer.

Baron MacIntyre was awestruck upon witnessing the smile that had emerged on the Ruler's face.

Legends said that the Rosenhyde Royal family was gifted with the best appearances by the Gods who formed this world.

The chosen bloodline to rule the land had many mysteries hidden in them, one of which was the color of their hair which no one else in the entire Kingdom possessed.

Their King was still in his late twenties and the youth on his face was present and had not diminished in the least.

The golden strands of hair on his head sparkled as the rays of light fell on them, illuminating them and making them look ethereal.

The King who did not venture out of his Palace and meet his noble citizens often was an extraordinary sight to behold.

Today, the Baron had experienced firsthand how beautiful the appearance of the Royal family member was, which made him unable to blink in fear of missing this stunning sight.

'He has those creepy eyes…' King Ophire remarked after noticing the man's dazed look.

The continuous stare which did not stop even when the King was now glaring at him made the Ruler frown.

'I shall make sure to keep my Felly away from this man! What if he stares at her and makes her uncomfortable as well?' He decided in haste.

Royal Steward was so close to smacking his forehead as the Baron was making odd moves at every step of the way.

"Very well, Baron MacIntyre. Shall we discuss the terms of the agreement?" King Ophire's loud and strangely stern voice brought the plump man back to his senses.

'Did I just daydream about a man?' Baron Quinn MacIntyre chastised his distracted actions as he feared to have upset their King.

"Yes, My King!" He answered in a hurry to ensure that he did not delay the busy man.

Once they had begun their discussions about the deal, the Baron was back to his usual business-minded attitude.

He spoke with fluency and did not freeze or stammer when informing the King about his cafe and its specialties.

'Now he looks and sounds like a businessman.' King Ophire nodded as he paid heed to what was being said.

They discussed what the snacks being served were, the quantity and quality, and finally the pricing.

Though King Ophire was not willing to accept it, he was impressed with the convincing words that the Baron had spoken in favor of his chef and cafe.

They soon came to a consensus about the deal to have Baron's cafe cater for the celebration which made the plump man's heart almost burst with joy and excitement.

"One last thing, I want to know more about the dessert that involved the child from the St. Claire's family." The King's inquiry brought a halt to the merriment that was taking place inside the Baron's heart.
