Yvonne could already sense that she had gotten the Butler's attention after the simple revelation of an additional salary.

"If you still do not wish to accept the position then I can only look for a replacement at the earliest." She muttered in an indifferent tone that concealed her true intentions perfectly.

The thought of letting the money slip out of his fingers made Jax widen his eyes.

"I accept it!" He clamored his answer, declaring that he was willing to take up the extra responsibilities she had for him.

The little girl smirked when she saw how eager he seemed before giving him a slow nod.

"Alright then. Now that you have accepted it, we shall discuss your future responsibilities and also your salary later." She explained which he was happy to hear.

Howard snickered from his seat, shaking his head at the greedy young man who had just sold his soul for money to this little devil whom he called his baby sister.

'Poor Jax.' He both pitied and mocked the butler who was unaware of what he was getting himself into.

CLOVER was an important existence in Yvonne's life and now that her company was taking such a crucial step in its progress, there would be a lot of work to be done.

Jax, who had just accepted the position of her second-in-command, would be swamped with tasks of all kinds and he would have no possibility of getting out of it any longer.

Therefore, Howard snickered at the fate that the young Butler had brought upon himself due to his greed for money.

Unfortunately, right now, Jax was too pleased with what he had accomplished today to even think about the consequences of his choices.

Soon Yvonne sent him away after asking him to wait for her outside and the Butler did as he was told.

Once he was gone, Marcus glanced at his niece with his face reflecting his pride and adoration for her.

"Did anyone tell you that your mind works in devious ways?" He questioned with a chuckle but his kind words weren't appreciated by any of those around him.

Yvonne choked at his compliment while Rutherford glowered at him.

"She is smart and not devious!" He retorted, defending his child but somewhere deep down in his heart, he knew that his brother-in-law was right.

However, he would never accept that openly as his daughter was an adorable and lovable child who could do no wrong in his sight.

Marcus rolled his eyes before glancing at the little girl seated before him.

"That was a positive remark, Vonny. A businessman can not be naive and too trusting after all. You are running a business, not a charity." He explained why he had used that adjective to describe her way of doing things.

Yvonne could not deny his words as what he had said was undoubtedly true.

People would go to any lengths to achieve their goals so what she had done was simply to move her plans along.

"As long as you do not forget the difference between right and wrong," Rutherford interjected, glaring at Marcus for teaching his child something unnecessary.

Viscount Marcus nodded his head, agreeing with the Earl's remark which was also needed to maintain a clear conscience while competing in this ruthless world of business among the noblemen.

Yvonne was already aware of this but nonetheless, she nodded, grateful to receive such tips from them.

"Now shall we move to the next topic?" The father inquired which made them frown.

The little girl had already revealed everything that she wished to say so she had no clue what her father was talking about.

Without wasting any further time, Rutherford cleared his throat and mentioned what was on his mind.

"While Jax may be the face of CLOVER before the public, he cannot take any of the major decisions for the business." He reminded her that she was still the brains behind the entire operation and her presence was required at all times.

Yvonne felt stumped at his words and furrowed her brows before nodding at him.

"You should already know that your schedule is too packed to accommodate anything else, Vonna." He added while shaking his head.

The parents had tried to space out the classes she attended every day in the beginning but their daughter was the one who had insisted on keeping her schedule full.

She had done this to complete her classes at the earliest and also to keep her afternoons free for herself.

However, the plague had thrown a wrench in her plans, and right now, she was lagging in almost all of them as she had not focused on her lessons during the time she spent in their fief.

She only trained with her brother in the mornings followed by whiling away her time before training with him again in the evening.

The only times she studied was when Rutherford forced her to and watched over her study hour with Howard doing his due diligence in the same room as them.

During the plague, Howard was an exemplary pupil who concentrated on both physical training and his studies but this little girl had been a rogue, doing as she pleased without a care for the world.

Rutherford shook his head in dismay while recalling how she had been during that time before narrowing his eyes at her.

"The best way for you to free up your schedule is to complete your classes sooner." He advised the best route for her to take in order to solve the crisis at hand.

However, how was she supposed to do that when she had been slacking for a little less than a year?

There was a lot to learn and achieve if she wished to complete her classes with the various tutors who visited their mansion on different days of the week.

Dance, etiquette, art, and even language were the classes she had not yet completed.

Music was the only one she was done with and that was thanks to her fear of being struck by the scary grandmother figure, Governess Lester.

The class with Marquess Samed was not one that could be completed in a short period as he taught her everything from history to current affairs and now even economy, laws, and politics.

Therefore, she would have to focus on trying to complete the other classes as her history lessons were not even an option right now.

As the three-hour-long class with Marquess Samed was not one that would end any time soon, she had to focus on completing the other classes which she attended on their predetermined days.

Yvonne made up her mind that she would do her best to complete these classes in order to free up her time in which she could concentrate on CLOVER.

The father smiled when he saw the determination evident in her eyes.

'At least she would be too lazy now.' He chuckled as he had heard complaints from her tutors on the very first day her classes were resumed.

Therefore, doing this would ensure that she paid attention to her lessons while striving to work hard and complete them all with a good score.

Anyway, other than the class with Marquess Samed, the rest were only meant to be learned during the initial years of education.

Once the child completes the allotted curriculum, they could end the classes and later focus where their interest lies.

When these classes ended depended on the abilities of the child and how quickly they could master the teachings bestowed by their respective tutors.

Most of the young girls of their Kingdom would slowly wean off these classes one after the other.

Based on the difficulty of the lessons, the order of completion varied for each child and it all depended on the capabilities of the child.

Rutherford knew that his daughter was excellent in these classes and this wasn't his blind belief as a doting father but the remarks given by her various tutors.

Yvonne did not know this but he would often call for the tutors and inquire about her progress and always heard positive replies.

However, today was a different matter as the first tutor whom he had met before he headed outside the Mansion with Marcus had a complaint against the little girl.

The obvious lack of practice was the criticism the tutor had after his class with Yvonne.

To remedy this, Rutherford had chosen to use this opportunity to get her to focus on her classes as well as to end them at the earliest.

'If you want to become a better businesswoman then you should be willing to work hard for it..' He thought to himself, wishing her luck to reach the goals she had set for herself.
