"I am fine," Layton said showing a smile, when he saw she was still worried he simply removed his tattered shirt revealing his smooth skin.
"see, no bruises" the concern in her gaze was quickly overshadowed with shyness as her cheeks grew a huge blush, she turned her head and quickly ran back into her room.
A few minutes later a properly dressed Layton walked into the room and noticed the little red-haired girl sulking on the bed, his acute perception could notice her low mood.
"what's wrong," he asked while sitting on the edge of the bed.
"Am I useless?" It took a while for Layton to understand she was talking about the fact that she was no help in the battle with the knight.
"No, you are stronger than you think you just haven't grown yet, when we win the holy grail you will be very powerful." Layton finally replied after a while.
He was not just saying that to comfort her although previously Layton could not clearly perceive it but after spending more time with her he could clearly notice the abundant vitality she had that was sleeping in her blood and the overly stable soul she possessed, Layton even guessed that if she was attacked head-on by Rose mental attack it would only make her dizzy for a short period of time, and if she died she would resurrect in a matter of hours, of course, this only his unconfirmed guess, the reason why he was so pissed earlier during the attack was because his instincts were warning him that if she died there something terrifying was going to emerge.
Seeing she still hadn't still come out of her depressed state Layton added: "If you are still aren't satisfied I can teach you some little self-defence techniques to protect yourself."
Searching his memories and finding some not too harmful national martial arts that Lilith could practice he wrote down the information and gave it to the excited girl who couldn't wait to start practising, Layton left the bedroom and went back into the storeroom to rest on the retractable bed that was now the sofa sinking into his mind he began to inspect the extraordinary soldier technique he got from the knight.
