[Margaret POV]

—Honestly, what I told my daughter just now is a lie, and I based it on my judgment as Margaret, Karendoll’s mother, after a lot of investigation.

In fact, my daughter, who had never been interested in men before, suddenly began to soar, and when I had done a little research to see what was going on, I found out in less than a day that she was madly in love.

At first, it seemed that my daughter was not even aware of her love for the man she was in love with, and it was so cute to watch her from afar, but as her mother, I had some concerns.

It was also possible that she got deceived by a man since she had no understanding of men until now.

Such men are usually experienced in the ways of love, and they would have no difficulty in playing the role of the ideal man as imagined by Karendoll.

At the time, I was so worried that I thought I would get a hole in my stomach.

And when I approached her father about it, he said, “If he’s not trash, let’s just have them marry as they are now.”

At that time, I even criticized my husband by saying, “Isn’t our Karendoll cute?” But he said, “If we continue to spoil her and raise her as the angel she is now, she may really remain unmarried. Perhaps we parents should be the ones to separate our children from us? Don’t we want to see Karendoll’s children?”

I couldn’t find the words to say it back either.

Rather, the words about the parents having to separate themselves from the children were the ones that got stuck deep in my heart.

With the help of my husband, I didn’t even have to do any research to find out that Karendoll’s love interest was Kaisar.

However, when I tried to find out what kind of person Kaisar was, I couldn’t get any information.

All I had known from the rumours were that he was a person of the worst personality.

If it had been a while ago, I would have judged him as a man with a scrappy personality living a lazy life on his parental authority.

However, seeing Karendoll crying all night, saying, “I lost to that Kaisar…”

My daughter, who was prouder of her ability to be the best in the school than being her parents’ child, had lost to such a man.

I convinced myself he must be pretty good since I heard from her that she couldn’t even land a hit on him for once.

It was clearly disconcerting to see someone with a personality that would normally be scrappy and lazy be stronger than my Karendoll, who practiced morning and night every day. It was natural to assume that there was something wrong with the results of our investigation.

Kaisar was hiding something.

And it didn’t take me too long to realize that.
