[Claude’s POV]

It’s strange.

Starting tomorrow, it’ll be a week since I challenged Kaisar to a duel the other day.

Kaisar hasn’t made a move, even though he’s against an opponent like me.

Why is it strange? —Because it’s that scum, after all.

Sure enough, he’ll have to hire some bandits or prepare some underhanded tricks in order to win against me.

That must be why I can’t figure out the kind of mind control used on Bridgette the other day, which Kaisar must have sneakily performed during our duel.

To avoid making the same mistake, I deliberately gave myself a week’s grace to make sure everything was in order this time.

Even though I had my men follow Kaisar so that I would be immediately informed if he were to make any movements, there have been no reports of him acting suspiciously so far.

“F**k! They all are so useless! The duel is tomorrow! What have they been doing for the last six days?”

The more I think about it, the angrier I get.

If this is how it’s going to be, should I have just kept an eye on Kaisar from the start?

It can’t be helped that things happen.

Besides, there’s no way I’m gonna lose to that trash.

And maybe I can have Bridgette and Karendoll as my slaves for a week when I win.

Hmm, isn’t this idea quite possible?

Why didn’t I think of this before? But still, I’m a genius for coming up with such an idea.

I can turn them into slaves and order them to tell what they really think.

If I let them say what they really think in front of a large audience, I can let everyone know about Kaisar’s misdeeds, while my trust and reputation will get restored, and my popularity will increase even more than before.

Having come up with this perfect plan, I no longer cared about how I had followed Kaisar and that I got nothing out of it, and I began to itch for tomorrow to come soon.

At last, Bridgette, also Karendoll, I’ll free you from that b*****d Kaisar.

I can’t help but feel the excitement of a child looking forward to his birthday.

“I know it’s been hard for you, but today is the last day. Tomorrow I’m going to save you from that h**l. Just wait for me… Bridgette.”

Ah, I can’t wait for tomorrow.
