Chapter 229: Make Sure To Have A Health lnsurance
Lucas looked around to see six 2-Star men surrounding him. Lucas looked at them a little surprised.
"You six are at 2-Star rank. Then instead of working somewhere, why the hell are you wasting time robbing others? Are y'all that dumb or does no one take you in?"
Lucas spoke while staring at them with disgust. After all, as long as you are awakened you can at least put food on your table and live a decent life.
The man who stole the lady's purse seemed to be the leader of this little gang and hearing Lucas's words his ego seemed to be hurt. Even though they steal, they still had some pride and this kid was calling them brain dead, psycho.
"Kid, it's you who is dumb and idiot,not us." The leader spoke with his face red, fuming in anger.
"Why the hell should I work for those bastards and risk my life? Just because I am awakened, why should I put my skills into fighting? Staying in a small town and bossing around is enough. Moreover, by stealing we even earn more than those mercenaries of the same rank in bigger cities."
"So, why should we stop stealing and risk our lives working as mercenaries or guards?"
"So, do you even terrify and kill people for money?" Lucas asked with a serious expression.
"Hey kid, we are thieves, not bandits. We steal and in the worst case, we kidnap and ask for ransom. We haven't and will never kill anyone. And you are our next unlucky target. Hehehehe! The six figures threw themselves at Lucas, but what they found was empty air.
One man suddenly felt cold air blowing behind his back, and before he could turn back, a blade swept past him.
"Watch out Delph!"
A loud shout was heard and Delph reacted quickly and turned his head.
The dagger avoided grazing past his head and cut through his shoulder, while he turned his hand to slam his elbow on Lucas but before that could happen, Lucas's figure had already disappeared from his back.
Lucas, who jumped out of the shadow behind another man, was startled to see two circular blades flying toward him. He raised his dagger to slash the weapon and deflected it, while another man slammed his head toward giving him a spear.
Lucas, who was hit in the gut by the man's head, raised his hand to slash at the neck and decapitate him, but there was a slight hesitation in his eyes which allowed others to jump on him.
Lucas tried to use shadow leap but he wasn't able due to the man holding him down.
He kicked the man's gut sending him flying and stomping on the ground jumped up while placing his hand on one of the guy's heads and throwing it at others, smashing both of their skulls while leaping a few distances away.
"Surrender yourself, kid. You have a bright life ahead, so give up obediently. You can't win against us." One of the men said.
Lucas snorted after hearing the man's words. The reason why he was caught off guard was that he hadn't decided whether to kill them or not.
Although he was used to this world and can kill anyone if required, still his conscience hadn't degraded to such a level. These people are just low-level thugs, who, even though they are bad, don't kill people.
And as a piece of evidence, the previous incident where they could've killed the lady to take her things, but they just stole them without hurting her. So, killing them wasn't quite necessary to him.
Moreover, Lucas can feel that they trying to restrain him by causing as minimum damage as possible, and three was no killing intent from them otherwise with his current strength he could kill them with the wave of his hand.
Lucas sighed and put down his daggers while raising his fists.
"It's been so long since I had a fist fight," Lucas muttered.
"So, I am going to play with you a little," Lucas smirked while snapping his fingers.
Instead of waiting for them to attack, Lucas took the first step and in the blink of an eye appeared before the guy named Delph, and Delph threw a punch at Lucas, but Lucas just casually held his wrist to block the attack with one hand and punched with the other.

As soon as Lucas first slammed at the man's chest, his figure flew back like a rag doll spurting mouthfuls of blood.
Two men jumped on Lucas, but Lucas's image blurred and he appeared beside them and held both of their heads, and slammed them on the ground breaking their skulls.
"Now three more to go," Lucas spoke with a smirk and jumped on the three.

The remaining three were too weak to resist Lucas, who kicked their asses and threw them away like paper.
Lucas dusted his hand while looking at the leader who had gone pale in the face.
"Sir, you can take this bag. We will not steal from today onwards." The leader said weakly.
"But I have not enjoyed it enough," Lucas said with a smirk following which loud screams of heavenly melody echoed throughout the place.
Lucas snatched the purse and left without turning back after giving them a pitiful look.
"Next time before going through all this, make sure to have health insurance as I am sure that this will not be the last case where you will get your ass kicked if you continue to keep on stealing."
Lucas thought of calling the emergency number but he remembered that there is no such thing in this backwater town and there were no guards and no proper prison cell.
There seemed to be a town chief and there wasn't even a mayor in this place.
So, if his parents are hiding due to some reason it can be said to be one of the best places.
