Chapter 35

The sadness of my grandmother’s betrayal hit me the day before the school’s re-opening. I expected nothing from the toxic family but I always thought my grandmother’s actions in my first life were small and petty. A week ago, I was sure that all the bad rumors and the brainwashing was done mainly by the will of my former first aunt and her daughter. Who knew it was my own grandmother from the start, she did it to her own blood.

I still did not understand why she hated me that much. Except for being a typical arrogant child who misses his parents, I had done nothing to warrant that.

Was she the one who pushed to expel me at 17 years old?

Did she give her blood to that sh*itty protagonist so he could track me down to steal the 3rd golden finger; a mountain of top grade spiritual stones? My she-wolf cousin’s blood would not have been so accurate to locate me.

After I calmed down it was very late but a sense of urgency hit me as I recalled my first life so, instead of cleaning up my face, I chose to do right away what I incontinently chose to avoid for as long as possible; I took out my mother’s heirloom.

It was a woman’s bracelet made of pink jade. I had given it to my cousin in my first life because it was too girly for me to wear. I didn't even check if it was a magical tool. This time I took the time to analyze it.

The analyzer's output was: Pink Jade bracelet.

Even the analyzer could not figure it out…How did my cousin unsealed it? I bit my finger and dropped a bit of blood on the bracelet - this would work on most cultivation or apocalypse stories my sister made me read -

The pink bracelet brightened a bit then I passed out.

When I woke up, I was in a bamboo forest. Exactly the same as the one I always tried to draw - and failed miserably -

It was only missing the sleeping green dragon. I waited for a bit for the dragon but he never came so I explored the forest and soon I arrived at a bamboo house next to a river. There was a mountain behind the house and a bare field on the other side of the river. There was a bridge that connected both sides.

Well … a typical setting for a dimensional space found on a jade jewelry and who needs a drop of blood to activate… I wondered again if my world was not real but a book written by a brainless author

Wait…Weird, in that sh*ty book this space was supposed to be a gray space that could contain unlimited objects and even living creatures. It was used often by the protagonist and his harem to hide from danger and every time they hated it. This space was different, it was sunny and warm, I felt a breeze and it smelled of flowers and bamboo trees… I start to get tired and sleepy so I moved on and finish the exploration

Inside the small house, there was only one room with a clean bed, a table, 2 chairs and a small stove that could be used as a kitchen or a heater. No dust and nothing out of place.

There was a book on the table. Based on the title, it was a diary of a lady cultivator named Ji FangFang. When I touched it a hologram appeared - I preferred to think of it as a hologram instead of a ghost -

“Hello little boy. You must be one of my descendants. Why are your eyes so red?” Asked the ghost…I mean the hologram

“I did not cry. It is just dust” I started with. Dam*n, behave like an adult Bai Yu Shin!

“I mean hello lady Ji FangFang. How do you know I am your descendent?” I asked with a bow. I had a million questions but I was not able to decide which ones I should start with

“The diary will give you a lot of answers. This space is linked to your sea of knowledge so you can change the bracelet shape, matter and color at will. I highly suggest never letting anyone know how to activate this space. Too many of my descendants killed each other for it and some died after being betrayed by their loved ones. It is a miracle that it stayed in the family this long” She said without breathing. Not that a ghost could breathe.

“How come I am the owner now?” I didn’t believe in miracles

“Because I chose you. Do you think I would have accepted the murderers and back stabbers to get full ownership?” Li FangFang replied

“And if someone dropped blood not part of your bloodline what would happen?” I want to confirm how the she-wolf activated this bracelet

“Just like the murderers and back stabbers, not full ownership just a normal but undetected dimensional space”

“You call normal a dimensional space that has unlimited storage and can accept living creatures?” I asked

“Ah, so you know about it” She then added when she saw my ‘Oh sh*t I should not have known’ face1MC learned it from uncle Huai

“Don’t worry, I already know about you returning by more than 50 years into the past. That was your fate and one that I had nothing to do with. Don’t ask, I cannot tell you why even if I am a pretty strong cultivator. Leaving this bracelet in this plane before ascending was a way for me to secretly keep in touch with my descendants. Who knew they would just get worse and worse until almost none survived” she sighed

Was she insulting me or only her other descendants?

“Am I the last one?” I asked trying to get some information

“No, there are more than one and less than 10” It was not a confirmation about my mother’s well being but at least it was not a confirmation of her demise.

“You are the owner now. Time currently flows the same as the outside but here is an eternal spring. As your cultivation increases, the time space would too. Before ascending, times flowed 100 times faster for me” she said with a wink

“Good bye, Xiao Shin I hope to meet you on the higher plane one day” she said

“I plan to have a peaceful and happy life not get strong to ascend” I answered back “Farewell, ancestor Ji FangFang”

With a smile she disappeared. Ouf. She was not a ghost. It was really a projection. At least I will have no nightmares tonight.
