Chapter 50

With array master Kui’s departure and me learning how to make arrays to protect my privacy, I had the chance to go to the bracelet space a few times at night - but I was too tired to farm - instead I decided to do something I should have done ages ago; Take an inventory of my assets.

I was richer than I thought.

Even those childhood toys were hidden magical tools. I would not have known without the analyzer. Some would turn into soldier puppets if I was attacked. While others would hide me temporarily or even instantly transport me 50 miles away.

From that trash book, I knew that an artifact similar to one of my toys was activated automatically to save the protagonist’s life. It was gifted to him by my she-wolf cousin. Now that I thought about it, it was most likely mine in the first place. After I was forced to change courtyards in my past life, she must have taken some, if not all, of my toys.

F*ck! It was not 3 golden fingers that he took from me but 4…Too bad I did not know that in my first life nor did my parents tell me or show me how to activate them.

Well, this time around was different, I wondered how long the MC would survive without my stuff. I was not even planning to do anything to him, his ability to seek death was first class and I was curious how he would survive by himself.

I put some toys in my side pouch so I could activate them quickly during danger.

I put together all the spiritual stones I found. There were some in boxes I never opened in my previous life before giving them away (I already said I was stupid, no need to mention it again). They were already sorted by level. I had 53 top level, 2 thousand high levels, a bit more than 100 thousand medium level and around one million low level spiritual stones. I was not rich, I was mega rich! The medium level mines near AnNan city would produce up to 10 medium level stones and a few hundred low level ones daily. Those stones were divided between the city and 5-6 other families who owned part of the mines.

No mine could be owned by only one family, this was to avoid civil wars. If new mines were found, the finder would get two parts (out of 10), the city had two parts and it was mandatory to sell the remaining parts in an auction with no one taking more than 2 parts so there would be at least 5 owners per mine. Those who found and hid a mine … well it never happened during uncle Huai’s time. No one dared.

Now that I thought about it, I knew the location of an undiscovered mine! It would be discovered 10 years from now and I had to be a miner there for a few months before the city was destroyed.

Let’s use the analyzer to find it by ‘luck’ and get 20% of its income. Anyway, the one who found it before was the Liu family. I never liked them and they contributed to the city’s destruction in my first life. Even if I did not need that money, I would be happy to take this source of income from them. The beauty of all this was that my current assignment could get me right next to the mine location!

As for the remaining magic tools I had, some could be used until I reached the Nascent Soul stage. I sorted the ones I should sell or gifts because they were lower level than the rest. I kept the ones that I could use right away and stored the ones I could use with higher cultivation. I also set aside 2 artifacts for the Li boys.

I had a few pills to remove excess spiritual roots that I do not plan to use - I had enough practice to make the final decision on that - I would gift them eventually

I had some other pills that would help me break through foundation establishment and even core formation. Those I would need to decide if they were worth using later on.

And finally, I had healing and purifying pills. I could use the healing ones during emergencies but, at normal times, I could use wood and water roots to help me regenerate faster.

Yep, I found out that as part of a theory in one of my uncle Huai’s books. It was a theory that made me finalize my new technique. Wood root helped the growth of plants, with water roots as a carrier, I could regenerate skin, flesh and bones. The issue with that was compared to plants, you need to know the human body very well. With my perfect memory recall and me reading my brother’s medical books and training video of some surgeries in my previous life, I could try this theory.

I already started with minor scratches on me and on some of the hurt children I met during my travels. Too bad it could not help with poison or I would have tried to help uncle and aunt.

As for purifying pills, I was not sure why I had them. Bai’s family technique made them useless. Maybe it was a cover for the technique…

The rest were some tea, clothes and what I bought since I returned to this life. Anyways, Now that I know what I had, I could add more food, water and other necessities for emergencies.

To cover for the fact I was lucky to find a mine, I was planning to start exploring outside the villages I visited to look for some wild herbs that could help me for alchemy

After the first week - 3 weeks since I left the city - I requested a one hour break during the day for that exploration. The area we were in was known for its wide variety of plants and abundance of resources. Since this area was safe, official Hei accepted my request as I was young and needed a break once in a while. I would take that time to raise my energy naturally after an array making session.

When I started, it was chilly and the road was slippery. We were in the middle of the fall season and it rained the day before. Uncle Hei, who asked me to call him that way when not working, decided to follow me for my first outing.

The village we were currently in was known for its green stone wine. It was in the middle of a forest full of double red leafed trees that bear the green stone fruit. Its wood was used to make wine bottles as it adds an extra aroma to the wine. I tried it once in my first life, the taste was a mix of pear and strawberry with a hint of alcohol.

The first night we arrived, the village chief and elders tried to make uncle Hei and the guards drink but they all refused due to the mission. As I was too young, I could not drink but I was planning to buy a few bottles for uncle Huai before we left for the next village.

Fullname82 Hello everyone,

I have been wondering if I should change the release format from now on. I am also thinking of changing the title.

My schedule does not let me release one chapter a day so I would either release 4 chapters once a week or keep the 2 chapters twice a week format. Which one do you prefer?

As for the alternative title :

The 3rd life of an arrogant and spoiled child

What do you think of it? Comments and suggestions are welcome
